SAP Note 1312413 - Enhanced Checks for License Management

Symptom
You use the automatic distribution of Maintenance Certificates via the SAP Solution Manager. It happens that old licenses are installed into the managed system.

Reason and Prerequisites
The managed system does not validate the incoming maintenance certificate.


Solution
Install the assigned correction instruction. The correction instruction contains added logic which verifies the following:

• Does the incoming maintenance certificate have a longer validity then the installed maintenance certificates. If there no license data installed, the validity has to be at least higher then the current date.

• Does the incoming maintenance certificate have the correct system-ID, system number and installation number.

The changes are included in ST-PI 2008, Support Package 1 (ST-PI 2008_1_700 SP01, ST-PI 2008_1_710 SP01)
