- Delivery of GRCPIERP V1000_640
The upgrade CD for GRCPIERP V1000_640 is not automatically sent to all customers. If you want to perform the upgrade, request the CD with the material number from your local subsidiary or download the CD from SAP Service Marketplace.

When you upgrade an SAP release to SAP ECC 500, the system recognizes that an ABAP add-on is installed and requests an additional CD or an upgrade package for the add-on. As a result, the ABAP add-on is also upgraded to the corresponding level during the standard upgrade.
CAUTION
If the upgrade to SAP ECC 500 is imported into an SAP system with the industry solution GRCPIERP without the data of the upgrade CD with the material number 51039481 having been read (Phase IS_SELECT), the ABAP add-on GRCPIERP no longer works after the upgrade. Since the status of the system is inconsistent, SAP can no longer accept any liability.
There are no known errors on the CD
4. Checks before the upgrade
- Obtain the following notes before you begin the installation:
Add-ons: General conditions 70228 Release strategy note 1504243
- R3trans, tp, kernel
In the source release of your system, you should use the latest R3trans, tp and kernel patch.
- Component Support Packages to be included in the upgrade:
In addition to the Support Packages contained in SAP ECC 500, you require at least the Support Packages for the following components for the upgrade:SAP_BASIS SAPKB64021 SAP_BW SAPKW35021 SAP_APPL SAPKH50014 SAP_HR SAPKE50005 GRCPINW V1000_640
- Importing additional component Support Packages
- No additional Support Packages are needed.
- Obtaining the required component Support Packages
You can download the relevant data files from SAP Service Marketplace. The data files must be located in the <DIR_EPS_ROOT>/in directory before the UPLOAD_REQUEST prepare phase is started. For information about downloading Support Packages, see Note 83458.
- Obtaining the GRCPIERP V1000_640 upgrade supplement.
Download the GRCPIERP V1000_640 CD from SAP Service Marketplace or insert and install the add-on supplement CD with material number 51039481.
- Log on as user:
<sid>adm on UNIX <SID>OFR on IBM i (previously i5/OS or OS/400) <sid>adm on Microsoft Windows.
- Go to the transport directory of your SAP system (for example, /usr/sap/trans). The transport directory is also displayed in transaction AL11 under DIR_TRANS.
- Unpack the SAR archive K-102GGINGRCPIERP.SAR using the following
statement:

In addition to German and English, GRCPIERP V1000_640 supports the following languages are supported: Arabic, Czech, Danish, Spanish,Finnish, French,Hebrew, Croation, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese,Korean, Dutch, Norwegian,Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak,Swedish, Turkish, Chinese trad, Chinese.
All the language-dependent parts of GRCPIERP are contained in the upgrade package of the add-on. If the relevant standard language exists in the system when you import GRCPIERP, the language part of the add-on is automatically imported. You do not need to import a language transport separately.
If you import a new standard language into your system after installing the GRCPIERP, you must manually ensure that the corresponding language-dependent part of the add-on is imported. For more information, see Note 195442.
5. Additional information about the upgrade

- Phase IS_SELECT
Select the upgrade type for the installed add-ons:
"Upgrade with SAINT Package"
- Phase BIND_PATCH
In this phase, the system displays the Support Packages that are contained in the directory <DIR_EPS_ROOT>/in and that can be included in the upgrade. Make sure that you include at least the Support Packages mentioned in section 4 ("Checks before the upgrade") in the upgrade.

7. Actions after the upgrade
- Importing languages after the upgrade
- If you intend to install additional languages, we recommend that you do this before importing further Support Packages.

o Import Support Packages after the upgrade
- GRCPIERP V1000_640 does not modify any other components and support packages can be imported without any CRTs.
o Delivery Customizing:
- Delivery Customizing is imported into client 000 and may need to be copied to other clients. For more information, see Note 337623.
8. Language support
- In addition to German and English, the following languages are supported:Arabic, Czech, Danish, Spanish,Finnish, French,Hebrew, Croation, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese,Korean, Dutch, Norwegian,Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak,Swedish, Turkish, Chinese trad,Chinese.
If you subsequently want to install one of these languages, proceed as follows:
The desired language for SAP ECC 500 must already be installed before you install the add-on language file. Carry out the add-on language import in accordance with the guide entitled "SAP Web Application Server 6.40 Language Transport".
