SAP Note 1501882 - Install SAP GRC Access Control 10.0 Plug -In on SAP BASIS 640 NW


Symptom
You want to carry out an add-on installation on SAP NetWeaver 04 with transaction SAINT.

  • Uninstalling GRCPINW
    Before you install the GRCPINW, keep in mind that you cannot uninstall ABAP add-ons. Further restrictions that concern the upgrade and maintenance of your SAP system and that occur as a result of installing an add-on are described in Release Strategy Note 1504132.
  • Required release
    You require SAP NetWeaver 04.
  • Import the latest SPAM/SAINT update.
    Make sure that you have installed the latest SPAM/SAINT update on your system. If a new version is available on SAP Service Marketplace, import the new SPAM/SAINT update.
  • Import the latest R3trans and tp.
    Ensure that you have imported the latest kernel version into your system. If a newer version is available on SAP Service Marketplace, import the most recent kernel.
  • Obtain the following notes before you begin the installation:
    Add-ons: Conditions: 70228
    Release strategy Note: 1504132
    Problems with transaction SAINT: 672652

  • Prerequisites:
    • Check that your system meets the following prerequisites:
      Required components
      SAP_BASIS 640
      SAP_BW 350

    • Required Component Support Packages:
      SAP_BASIS SAPKB64021
      SAP_BW SAPKW35021
           If an upgrade is not possible, upload the Archive
           ACP_GRCPINW_V1000_700.SAR attached to the note 1619929. This ACP will change
           the import attributes of the OCS package as follows
           
           SAP_BASIS 640   SAPKB64010
           SAP_ABA   640   SAPKA64010


    • If you have not yet installed these component Support Packages, you can include them when you install the GRCPINW V1000_640. For more information, see Note 83458.
  • Additional information about the installation:

3. Preparing the GRCPINW V1000_640 installation
  • Making the add-on GRCPINW V1000_640 available
    The installation CD for GRCPINW V1000_640 is not automatically sent to all customers. Request the CD with material number 51039481 from your local subsidiary or download the CD from the SAP Service Marketplace.
    • Log on as user:
      <sid>adm on UNIX
      <SID>OFR on IBM i (previously i5/OS or OS/400)
      <SID>adm on Microsoft Windows

    • Switch to the <DIR_EPS_ROOT> directory of your SAP system (usually /usr/sap/trans/EPS). The <DIR_EPS_ROOT> directory is also displayed under DIR_EPS_ROOT after you execute the RSPFPAR report.
    • Go to the higher-level directory of <DIR_EPS_ROOT>.
    • Unpack the SAR archive <SAR_Archive> on the CD with the following statement:
      UNIX:
      SAPCAR -xvf /<CD_DIR>/GRCPINW_V1000_640_INST/DATA/K-102AGINGRCPINW.SAR
      IBM i (previously i5/OS or OS/400):
      SAPCAR '-xvf /QOPT/<VOLID>/GRCPINW_V1000_640_INST/DATA/K-102AGINGRCPINW.SAR
      Microsoft Windows:
      SAPCAR -xvf <CD_DRIVE>:\GRCPINW_V1000_640_INST\DATA\K-102AGINGRCPINW.SAR
      The CSR0120031469_0047320.PAT file should now be in the <DIR_EPS_ROOT>/in directory.
4. Executing the GRCPINW V1000_640 installation
  • User to be used.
    Log on to your SAP system in client 000 as a user with SAP_ALL authorization. Do NOT use the SAP* or DDIC users.
  • Displaying the add-on installation package
    Call transaction SAINT and choose 'Start' and 'Load'.
    After the list of uploaded packages is displayed, you can return to the initial screen of transaction SAINT by choosing either F3 or 'Back'.
  • Starting the installation
    Call transaction SAINT and choose "Start". Select the add-on GRCPINW V1000_640 and choose 'Continue'. If all of the necessary conditions for importing the add-on have been fulfilled, the system will now display the relevant queue. The queue consists of the installation package, and it may also contain Support Packages and Add-On Support Packages.
    To start the installation process, choose 'Continue'. For more information, call transaction SAINT and choose 'Info' on the application toolbar.
    The system prompts you to enter a password. This password is provided below.
5. After you have installed the GRCPINW V1000_640
  • Generation errors
    • There are no generation errors.
  • Delivery Customizing:
    • Delivery Customizing is imported into client 000. If necessary, you must copy this Customizing into other clients. For more information, see Note 337623.
6. Language support
  • In addition to German and English, the following languages are supported by GRCPINW V1000_640: Arabic, Czech, Danish, Spanish, Finnish, French, Hebrew, Croation, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Slovak, Swedish, Turkish, Chinese trad., Chinese
  • All the language-dependent parts of GRCPINW are contained in the installation package of the add-on. If the relevant standard language exists in the system when you import GRCPINW, the language part of the add-on is automatically imported. You do not need to import a language transport separately.
  • If you import a new standard language into your system after installing the GRCPINW, you must manually ensure that the corresponding language-dependent part of the add-on is imported. For more information, see Note 195442.
