SAP Note 1091141 - MEMORY_PGFREE_FAILED after restart of work process

Symptom

After a running session was terminated, the short dump MEMORY_PGFREE_FAILED occurs. The tracefile of the affected work process contains the following entries:

M  *** WARNING => sql break failed (xx)

and

A  *** ERROR => Error during paging access, dump paging anchors:

The dump occurs after you restart the affected process.

Reason and Prerequisites
Due to an error during the termination of the running SQL statement, the process exits hard. During this, a rollout of the use context occurs, and no consistent status is saved in the paging memory, which causes errors during later accesses.

The error is corrected with the following patch levels:

6.40:  204
7.00:  131
